| So...It has been so long since I have updated that I forgot my login for a minute. I just feel like I need to apologize to the World Wide Web. I have given it enough attention as of late. School started and it is pretty hectic so far. I only have 14 hours but all of my classes are pretty time consuming. And I am an RA. Which so far is not too time consuming but I have a class that I have to attend weekly along with a weekly meeting. Anyway I am probably more bussy than I have ever been....dang....I'm tired...I have been riding my bike everywhere which I have really enjoyed, I just get worn out from it though. Well thats all for now, I really enjoyed talking with Josh last night, in fact he is the one that inspired me to update my xanga...thanks Josh! -Matt | | |
| Sometimes...most of the time, God will bless me with things in my life that I don't deserve expect or sometimes even understand. All I have to say is that God is faithful. I have heard that a million times in my life but as cliche as that coined "christian" phrase is it still contains some truth.
Weatherby has been blessed a lot as a band. We have all been blessed to be a part of it. I guess if we were to break up in a week or two we still would have come out with great friendships that wouldn't have existed if we hadn't played music together. I am really thankful for the guys that are in the band with me. It's not every day that friendships like that are made. We all cannot wait for Josh to come home because he is such a vital part of us. We all miss him and we are praying for him everyday. Josh we love you!
I don't mean to copy Mark VanSickle but here is a song that I have been listening to a lot lately it just kind of puts things in perspective for me.
"To Whom It May Concern" by UnderOath So hold your head up high and know it's not the end of the road
Walk down this beaten path before you pack your things and head for home
At the end of the road you'll find what you've been longing for
I know 'cause my feet have scars to show
I was lost with vague direction and no place to call home
It's time for you to press on
This is not your war
Set your signts to north and press on
This is not your escape
Wash away what they thought of you
Because in this place, we're all as good as dead
....end cycle...
Behind the mask you'll find yourself alone
It's not the end of the road for you
Everyone have a great week! | | |

I made this today, I hope Mark likes it!
Last night I got to see As Cities Burn and UnderOath! This was one of the best shows I have ever been to. This was my third time seeing As Cities Burn and it was their best show that I've been to. The atmosphere during their set was worshipful. My favorite song of the set was "Love Jelous one, Love" It brought tears to my eyes, I know that sounds silly but God just flooded over me as the band sang, "we will wear compasion, we will wear it on our chest, and sing with love at our throats". They added a new ending to the song and it was incredible. Seeing As Cities Burn and experiencing God in such a powerful way during their set really inspired me and moved me and showed me excactly what I want to do with music. It was an experience I won't soon forget.
Then to top that off I got to see UnderOath after that! They opened the set with "It's Dangerous Bussiness Walking Out Your Front Door" it was amazing! Then they played "I Got Ten Friends" which I hadn't seen them play live before, so that was sweet. They played a few new songs from their soon to be released album Define the Great Line. Aaron basically blew me away on the drums, he is incredible! Their new songs were great! I will pre-order the new cd tomorow when I get paid. Spencer had some great things to say between songs. UnderOath and As Cities Burn are the example that Weatherby should follow. They are so bold about their beliefs, and really live out their faith!
Well it was one great show, I also had a great time on the way up their and back with my friends Mark, Coss, and Badley.
I guess thats all for now, perhaps I'll post some lyrics later, I'm feeling inspired.

| - every single songs The semester is almost over, it has gone by so fast! I am looking foward to the summer though. Even though I will work a lot I won't have school to worry about for a while and hopfully Weatherby can play a lot of shows and have some fun together. I'm just praying that we can work out all the details. I guess thats it for now, I hope everyone is having a great Monday!
I read this today and I liked it so check it out.
And the angel showed me a pure river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, coursing down the center of the main street. On each side the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations. No longer will anything be cursed. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. And their will be no night there - no need for lamps or sun - for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever.
